Smithy skiing N. Ruby Pk in chalky pow |

Near gear is trickling in (new Ski Trab World Cup race skis, bindings, skins, packs, gloves, Alien boots, etc) and the sun is shining....we at Team Crested Butte can't be more thankful for all the support we receive from our sponsors. While it hasn't been snowing out recently, its been great to get out and explore some high alpine areas above the town site of Irwin, CO.

Sunday's Tour took place in the same zone near Irwin. Ochs, Smithy, myself and Huck (the Mayor of CB) started early and booted up the South side of Mt Owen (via the Diagonal Coulior) and dropped into some soft snow on Jenga chute. At the bottom we skinned up into one coulior over called Spire chute which was untouched and opened it up for the season. Great snow on the North side of Owen considering we haven't had anything in over 10 days...and its been mild too....thank god for shadows that are keeping the snow that we have intact.
